Shows the difference that maintenance makes.

From a layout and design perspective this course is no more special than many other courses in the area and if it were a muni at this age it would be pretty blah. But as it is private, it is kept in good condition, and the course is presented well, the bunkers are nicely maintained, the trees well trimmed, and so the course feels perhaps a shade better than its bones would truly support.

The finishing holes that play in sight of Long Pond are nice, but it’s a pity they don’t get close enough to make that feature a part of the course.
