A true desert-style muni on the east side of town by the air force base. This is an interesting layout, since most of the true desert courses you see are high-end resorts. Beyond the obvious turf maintenance issues, you note that this course tends to get overrun by desert vegetation, making for semi-blind shots that weren’t intended to play that way. On the other hand there aren’t many desert resort courses that are as walkable as this course, even if the guys in the shop would prefer you take a cart.
