Longbow GC, Mesa. Ken Kavanaugh, 1997 with significant revisions in 2003.

This is a nice core golf course with plenty of strategic choices, some interesting greens, and a compact walkable routing. There’s some quirk that’s a bit forced—the short par 4 on the front doesn’t have options that make much sense to me, even after several plays and there are two holes with trees in the middle of fairways, which seems strange given that the trees were probably not naturally growing on this site before the course was built. But manufactured quirk (in moderation) is better than none at all and generally this is a course that could keep a good player interested while not beating up a beginner or demanding you go through two sleeves of balls.
